Pablo Picasso died 50 years ago, in Mougins, in his bedroom at the Mas Notre-Dame-de-Vie which he had acquired in 1961. It was a Sunday, April 8, 1973. He was 91 years old. His story with Mougins began at the end of the 1930s, during his various stays at the Vaste Horizon hotel in the company of his muse Dora Maar as well as other artist friends such as Paul Eluard, Man Ray, Lee Miller, Jean Cocteau... On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of his death, the city of Mougins is offering a series of exhibitions, screenings and exclusive visits from April to October 2023 to pay tribute to the artist and allow the public to immerse themselves as close as possible to what was the daily life of the master in Mougins.

Our Artist Laurent Folco pays tribute to him.
